What's Your Water Footprint? 2025
Event Description

Discover your water footprint and how to reduce it - starting with your landscape!
Water is one of our most valuable natural resources, both here in Sarasota County and around the globe. Every product we use and every habit we form carries a water cost, known as a water footprint. In this engaging, in-person class, you’ll learn how much water is hidden in the items you use every day and where the biggest impacts really lie.

Spoiler: It’s your landscape!
Find out how the way we irrigate and the plants we choose can drastically shrink our water use, protect local water quality, and build more resilient yards.

Benefits:

  • Understand what a water footprint is and why it matters
  • Explore the hidden water costs behind common products and activities
  • Learn how smarter irrigation and plant selection can reduce your landscape’s impact
  • Get inspired to make water-wise choices at home
