Every organization and everyone can submit to Rate It Green's green building calendar! Simply click register, verify your email address, and create a username and password. You can then decide if you'd like to engage more fully as a community member, but you'll be able to post events.

Stretch & Specialized Code Basics, Online Course, July 15, 3 - 5 pm
Event Description
This course covers the 225 CMR 23.00 MA Commercial Stretch and Opt-in Specialized energy codes applicable from July 1, 2023, and including February 2025 updates. The presentation encompasses the different pathways available for code compliance, requirements for each section (envelope, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical), and an overview of how the different components work together. Participants will also learn how the Fossil Fuel Free Pilot communities program may use the Stretch Code as a tool to help meet building performance and electrification goals. This course is intended for all building industry professionals, including but not limited to architects, engineers, consultants, modelers, developers, owners, and contractors.
Learning Objectives -
1. Participants will be able to describe the compliance pathways of the MA State Energy Codes for different building types and sizes.
2. Participants will understand how the Stretch Code impacts project decisions.
3. Participants will be able to assess the implications of the Opt-In Specialized Code.
4. Participants will be able to recognize how the code changes impact existing buildings and interior fit-up projects.
