Free Webinar: Inside vs. Outside: Designing the Passive Enclosure in Big Building
Event Description

Multifamily Passive House projects have unique challenges that can trip even experienced teams. In the presentation “Inside vs Outside”, experienced passive house consultant John Loercher (CPHC) of Northeast Projects will dive into some of the most persistent problem areas, including stack effect, trash chutes, laundry rooms, mixed-use developments, and podium construction.

This presentation is the culmination of a series of interviews with experienced passive house professionals. Through a mix of technical guidance, best practices, and real-world case studies, John will break down why these tradeoff decisions are particularly tricky and how they can be successfully managed.

Participants will leave with a deeper understanding of common pitfalls, practical solutions, and decision-making strategies that can improve project outcomes, reduce risks during construction, and streamline the certification process. This session is ideal for architects, builders, developers, trades, and code officials looking to sharpen their approach to multifamily passive house design and construction.
