Every organization and everyone can submit to Rate It Green's green building calendar! Simply click register, verify your email address, and create a username and password. You can then decide if you'd like to engage more fully as a community member, but you'll be able to post events.

We welcome praise and advice and even criticism but all posted content and ratings should be constructive in nature. For guidance on what constitutes suitable content on the Rate It Green site, please refer to the User Agreement and Site Rules.

Event Description
Massachusetts recently introduced a new energy code that is available for municipal adoption that goes beyond the typical Stretch Code requirements called the Municipal Opt-In Specialized Energy Code also known as the Specialized Code. This course will provide a comprehensive summary of the requirements of the Specialized Code as they relate to commercial buildings and will provide additional background information about the energy code landscape in Massachusetts, as well as applicable Stretch Code provisions that are relevant to the Specialized Code, including electric vehicle readiness, Solar Readiness, and compliance path options.
Learning Objectives:
1. Understand the Massachusetts energy code landscape
2. Become familiar with the Stretch Code development and adoption process
3. Identify the role of certificated third-parties for Stretch Code and Municipal Opt-In Code compliance
4. Summarize commercial Opt-in Code requirements
