Clean Energy Homes & Businesses, March 7, Carbondale, Illinois
Event Description

Whether you’re a homeowner or a business, you probably know that gas bills have increasingly become unaffordable for many of us. But there are alternatives ways to heat and cool your home, alternatives that can be cheaper in the long run.

Join Illinois PIRG on a walk-through of an electrified church to learn more about these gas alternatives. Clean Energy Homes & Businesses: Carbondale is an opportunity for Carbondale area residents to learn about the home electrification process and how energy-efficient technology works.

During the tour, Illinois PIRG’ll discuss:

  • The Church of the Good Shepherd electrification process
  • Money you can save
  • How this technology works in the cold
  • Resources you can use right now to save on utility bills
  • Why this is important

This event is about picturing a future away from gas, making the move to electrified homes, what your future could look like, and the hurdles our communities will face during the transition.

Note: Free and open to all. Food and beverages will be provided.
